8 Healthy Keto Smoothies to Lose Weight

The main idea of the Keto diet is dropping your total daily carbs and relying on fat for getting calories.

Keto has been proven to be effective with weight loss, controlling blood sugar levels, and lowering bad cholesterol levels.

However, many smoothies are made of high carb ingredients and are not good for a Keto diet.

Luckily, there are a number of keto smoothies that are low in carbohydrates and delicious.

If you drink smoothies to help increase your fruit and vegetable intake, this can become a problem.

But, this does not mean you need to give them up completely on a Keto diet!

All you need to do is make sure to put Keto-friendly foods in your blender instead and there a huge number of keto smoothie recipes that are suitable!

    What to Avoid

Some common fruits used in smoothies are high in carbs.

These include mangos, bananas, apples, and peaches- plus more.

It is important to check that what you are putting into your smoothie will not interfere with your Keto diet.

Sugar and honey are also popular add-ins to normal smoothie recipes.

For a Keto smoothie, simply swap them out with an artificial sweetener of your choice.

On the other hand, coconut oil can work wonders in a Keto smoothie!

    Keto Smoothie Basics

Swapping out traditional smoothie ingredients for Keto ones is key.

For example, using coconut or almond milk instead of dairy milk, or adding an artificial sweetener instead of honey.

You can even add protein powder for a tasty post-workout smoothie- it is all up to you and what you think is the best.

Here is a list of delicious low carb, keto smoothie recipes for your Keto diet:

    1. Blueberry Smoothie

This is a popular choice for a Keto smoothie, as blueberries can aid in weight loss, are full of antioxidants, and contain a lot of vitamin C to boost your immune system.

Coconut oil also contains healthy fats that can promote weight loss.

    Ingredients:

    • 1/4 cup Blueberries
    • 1 cup Coconut Milk
    • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
    • 1 scoop Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powder (Vanilla or unflavored)
    • Ice

This blueberry smoothie recipe is simple but delicious and healthy.

It makes for a great breakfast if you need to eat and do not have time to cook.

    2. Eggnog Smoothie

Here is a smoothie perfect for the holidays- or you want to drink something to make you feel cozy.

Either way, this Keto eggnog smoothie tastes great.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Heavy Cream
    • 1 cup Coconut Milk or Almond Milk (unsweetened)
    • 2 medium Eggs
    • 2 tbsp Butter
    • 2 tbsp Stevia
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • 1 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg

The smoothie is finished blending when the top is foamy, this takes about a minute.

    3. Breakfast Green Smoothie

If you are not a fan of veggies, drinking them can be just as good.

Adding lots of leafy greens can help keep you full longer, making this a perfect breakfast smoothie.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 1/2 cups Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 1/2 Avocado
    • 1/2 cup Celery
    • 1/3 cup Cucumber
    • 1 oz Spinach
    • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
    • Stevia
    • 1 scoop Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powder (Vanilla or unflavored)
    • 1 tsp Match Powder (optional)

Add matcha if you need a little bit of a caffeine boost in the morning.

This tastes great and has tons of health benefits either way!

    4. Matcha Protein Smoothie

Matcha green tea provides a lot of benefits, but this smoothie provides a new twist on the tea.

A matcha protein smoothie makes for an excellent pre or post-workout drink too.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 1 scoop Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powder (Vanilla or unflavored)
    • 1 scoop Matcha
    • 1 handful of Spinach
    • 1 small Avocado (chopped)
    • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
    • Ice

This matcha smoothie can help your body enter fat-burning mode, leading to extra weight loss.

    5. Peanut Butter Chocolate Smoothie

This peanut butter chocolate smoothie recipe sounds like it should not be Keto, but it is- and it is delicious!

The key is to use unsweetened cocoa powder for the chocolate flavor.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter (creamy)
    • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
    • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
    • Ice

Nuts are helpful when you need to eat more fat.

Plus, this smoothie makes a yummy dessert- and is low carb!

    6. Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Pumpkin is low carb and a perfect vegetable to add to a Keto smoothie if you do not go overboard with it.

Pumpkin is also full of antioxidants and fiber.

    Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
    • A dash of salt
    • 2 tbsp Almond Butter
    • 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Spice
    • Ice

This popular flavor in smoothie form is great for if you are in an autumn mood and want to relax while enjoying a healthy drink.

    7. Strawberry Smoothie

This classic smoothie can easily be made Keto-friendly.

Strawberries have also been known to have many health benefits.

This includes lowering blood pressure, adding good cholesterol, protecting your heart, and preventing cancer.

Strawberries are also full of fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins!

    Ingredients:

    • 4 oz Frozen Strawberries
    • 1/4 cup Whipping Cream
    • 3/4 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 2 tsp Stevia
    • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

A strawberry keto smoothie can make for a satisfying snack, especially after considering everything good that comes with strawberries.

    8. Blackberry Spinach Smoothie

It might sound like an odd combo at first, but this smoothie is a perfect example of what to eat while on a Ketogenic diet.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
    • 1 scoop Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powder (Vanilla or unflavored)
    • 1 handful of Spinach
    • 1 cup Blackberries
    • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    • Ice

This Keto smoothie is light enough that it works well as a pre-workout drink.

You will not feel overly full moving around and the protein can help you boost the benefits from your work out.

    Made Too Much?

Any leftovers from these smoothie recipes can be poured into a mold and used to make Keto popsicles.

Nothing has to go to waste if you make too much, and they make a delicious snack that you will not feel guilty about eating later.

Kids also love popsicles, so this can be an easy method to help your child get more fruit into their diet.

As you can see, Keto smoothie recipes are a simple way to add healthier foods to your low-carb diet.

They are quick to make and all low carb.
