    1. Intermittent Fasting

    On your ketogenic journey, it’s important to know that your success is not only dictated by eating enough fat and protein and restricting carbs. It is also determined by:

    • When you eat
    • How often you eat
    • How much you eat

    This is where intermittent fasting (IF) comes into play.

    Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. Thus, you eat for a certain period and fast in another. Studies have shown how beneficial IF is to weight loss efforts.

    There are numerous ways you can practice IF.

    Since you’ll mainly be doing the keto diet, I recommend you skip breakfast.

    You will have been fasting for 7-8 hours after waking up. You keep your body in a fat-burning state by waking up and not eating for a few more hours. And when you combine that with keto, stubborn body fat doesn’t stand a chance!

    I recommend that you skip breakfast for 1-2 days to start. And eventually, skip breakfast every day once your body gets the hang of it.

    2. Exercise

    Numerous studies have touted the weight loss benefits of a low-carb diet.
    Reducing carbs allows the body to use glycogen buildup within your fat stores as fuel, resulting in weight loss. This effect is doubled when you burn glycogen by exercise.

    To maximize your fat-burning potential, perform compound movements (exercises that hit multiple muscle groups) such as squats, pushups, mountain climbers, barbell rows, and pull-ups.

    3. Fat-Burning Supplements

    Even if you’re eating as keto as possible, that doesn’t mean you’re getting all your nutrients. The environment and how food is grown make even the healthiest dishes lose nutrition. That’s why it’s important to “supplement” your keto experience with supplements.

    Below is a list of key supplements that will do just that:

    • Fish oil
    • Magnesium
    • Probiotics
    • Calcium
    • Iron
    • Vitamin D
    • Vitamin C
    • Potassium
    • Multivitamin
    • Protein powder
